A psychic Teapot?!?

What is the world coming to?!?

The Ball on Friday was great! Thanks to everyone who came, and made themselves look nice and stuff. And to everyone who helped setting up and packing up. It all came together and worked really well. And I had fun, and think Mostly everyone did too! But don't come complaining to me if you didn't....Oh, and thanks to everyone I danced with. It was nice.

I almost don't know what to do with myself now that all that stuff is over with the Ball. I guess I will have to actually get my uni work done this week! We do still have a whole bunch more YSA stuff coming up. We're meant to have another dance next month, and then activities both months after that, and then convention in December. Hmm...I should probably do something about that!

So, Sarah is gone now. I guess Most of those few of you who bother to read this don't really know her all that well. So, I won't go on about her too much. But I will miss her. She is doing the right thing though, and will be back soon enough. It's kinda weird, coz I have never really had a friend as close as her leave on a mission. I left before all my best guys friends. I don't think it has really hit me yet. Separation is a strange thing. And different people deal with it very differently.

So much for not going on about that...

You know what really annoys me? When I notice something about someone else that really annoys me, and then I see myself doing the exact same thing. I am silly. I have silly prideful double standards. But I am trying.

Anyone who comments about me being too harsh on myself will lose points. And I'll have to come up with some other suitable punishment for Jake, since he doesn't want points anyway!

For anyone who is interested, here is a photo of my cheese slicer mentioned in a past entry. It's probably not what you were really imagining yourselves. It works wonderfully well though!

Ok, well, no other points for today I don't think. Hope everyone is well, I will catch you all later!

Dallin

PS. Is that really socially acceptable?

Yet again I am honered with the first comment on Dallins blog! Wow I feel great. =D

I think your cheese slicer look pretty funny hehe!

It's hard when people you love go away for a time. When my brother went away on his mission I cried for agers cause I really missed him. I was the only one to get a pressent while he was on his mission so that made me feel special.

She'll be back and you'll wonder where all that time went, don't you worry!

Live life and enjoy!

Well, Dallin, you're not being too hard on yourself, it's ok. If anything you're not ebing hard enough... nah, not really, i just didn't have anything else to say...

You're chaase slicer looks awesome! Honestly I had no clue what it was going to look like. I doubt I've ever actually seen one and paid attention to it.

Well, I"m off to save the world with my shortness.

Hahaha.... how awesome is Dallin! So awesome that I can't fit it all into one little comment!
If you like, you're not hard on yourself at all, in fact you are indubitably up yourself.
You know what I really find funny? When I notice something I'm doing, that isn't mine.
I got lost, but I'm not going to think about it too much... coz then it goes a bit too far...

Bye Dallin! You're BRILLIANT!

Yeah, the ball was quality. Well worth getting light headed over. The packing up wasn't even that bad, except for those little white balls, and my feet being blistered. Boys, appreciate what we do to be pretty, ok?
All the dances I got were nice as well, but your reaction to me asking you to dance was pretty funny Dallin. You kinda just sat there with a strange look on your face...

Sorry about Sarah. I always hated saying goodbye. It was even worse when certain people had a go at me because I cried...apparently I had no right to! Write her lots of letters. :)

And you know what else? I do that as well, as in get annoyed when I do the same thing all the time. No ones perfect eh?

I would be friends with a phychic teapot. I think there should be more of them about. Then again, we all know how much phychics scare me, especially when they are right.
Sophie, you horrible horrible girl, you are TOO psychic. I love you anyway. Just DON'T do anything like that to me again..you know what I mean. ;)

This is too long. hugs and chocolate for all!

I wasn't ever planning on talking about this in a public place Carolyn, but you brought it up, so I figured I had better respond.

I'm sorry about the funny look I had on my face. The reason was that I was kinda confused about what was going on. I initially thought it was a fast song, and I thought you grabbed at Sophie's hand, as well as mine. So, I was confused why you were making me and Sophie get up for a fast song. So, that's the story. Sorry about it. Just a lack of commuication I guess. Communication between my ears, eyes and brain....

The Ball was a bit of fun especially the fake snow flakes which didnt want 2 cooperate with the broom and the dustpan afterwards. Im not really much of a supporter of the notebook being the DJ though takes a bit of the personal touch out of the work clicking on MP3's.
Newayz I'll stop whinging. Sarahs gone shes so funny and at times but, she can also be dead serious. Itz good 2 see her serving the Lord I think she'll do well and learn a lot.
As 4 comments I can never seem 2 b able 2 get the 1st comment on anyones blog it even amazes me when I get comments from Jonno b4 I even write them. C
an I get some consolation points please Dallin 10 points should do the trick lol. {:-)
OK I feel like I've used enough mental capacity 4 one day until next time Seeya

Does this mean I get 30 or 20 points?

I am actually not quite sure how many points you get there Tam. I was going to give you your 10 points for being incredibly creative. But, then Sophie awarded 20 points for it as well. Which is almost like doubling up. now, this presents the serious problem of whether one can recieve points for one act from two different people. And this has never been tested previously in court - there is no precedent!

So, that means that a vote is in order! The final count will be taken on Friday, 6pm. Comments are conveniently time stamped, so I will know if you really voted before that or not! The vote must be either that Timmy gets 20 points or 30 points. Actually, 10 should be an option too - it could be that only the first lot of points for an action are awarded. One vote per person. The name must be the real first name of the voter, only one vote per person. Timmy may not give an official vote, but may share an opinion. And everyone is free to share an opinion or reason with their vote. I will judge what I think the best opinion/reason is, and that person gets 12 points. This may also be Timmy.

Any other rules that I decide to enforce are also enforcable, with or without prior acknowledgement!

That was a long comment. Happy Voting!

Oh, forgot to mention - Dave does indeed get 10 points, because {:-) is the coolest smiley i have seen in a long time! In general though, begging for points will not be successful.

Umm, had something else too. But forgot what it was. Oh well.

Did you know, when I asked people to guess who I was I actually didn't intend to answer? I thought it would be fun to know who would know it was me and then I realised it would be even funner to guess it myself! Though it was far from a guess =P

I don't really care how many points I get, wheather it be 10, 20 or even the lovely 30! Just as long as you all realise how clever I was!

Oh! And Dallin is clever too, so I award him.. Humm 11 points! I like the number 11 =P Hehe

So in closing! Dallin is clever and I like pie!

VOTE TIMMY!

Well, Timmy told me to come vote, and i spose I get what she was on about now. Let's see... 10, 20 or 30?

I'd say give her 30. Because she's so pretty! (Not as pretty as Dallin, but we all know that no one is as pretty as Dallin)

If two different people award her points she sould get them all. Who's job is it to decide who's allowed to give out points anyway? There is no point alocator person, so points awarded by anyone should count.

At 12:14 PM, August 10, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Well! SOMEONE feels like they're King of the Rock or something!

Going to award points is different to ACTUALLY awarding points, so the first lot of points were mine, as normally you cannot give yourself points.
In Most situations, the people aware of the 'act' are also aware of the points given by the first person, and so you would rarely need to add more points to that. Unless maybe you felt they needed more.
So, I vote Timmy gets 30 points, plus 20 points for damages, slander, and umm... whatever. (thats how they do it in court right? thats why insurance is so high.)

Real first name... whats with that? thats no fun! I was going to be Snaps! Or maybe Franklin, or Geneva! Meanie.

Oh yeah, really cool idea though! and because 11 IS a really good number, 11 points to Dallin for being so cool!

I recon they should get all points from anyone. It should not even be known before hand if two people will award points. Give her the 30 points. I'm gonna giver her 30 points for making you uncertain. That takes effort and personal quality. She deserves everything for it. GO TAM! p.s. How did I ever get points on Dallins thingy?

At 3:00 PM, August 10, 2006, Anonymous Anonymous said...

My head hurts...

Just give her the 30 points. She asked me nicely to vote for her, and she came and commented on my space when I asked. I guess that is reason enough.

I can't believe this whole thing to tell you the truth, it is really making me laugh.

At 9:28 PM, August 11, 2006, Blogger Dallin said...

Well, Carolyn obviously didn't read the rule about using first names for the comment names. But that's ok, I don't think her vote had any impact....Not to say that you aren't important though, Caro....

So, Tam gets her 30 points! Lucky her! Sophie's vote for 20 extra didn't gain enough support, but Jonno's 30 points he awarded her should cover any 'damages' (you've got to be kidding me...).

Rose gets the bonus 12 points for sucking up! That might not always work though...

Have a great day everyone! I'll seeya later.

Oops! Meh, she got the points anyway!

So, do I get points just for being lion, because I AM special?

Just kidding!

Girls don't like boys girls like cars and money! Boys will laugh at girls when they're not funny!

Apparently Good Charlotte aren't good...

You know what else? My dad is socially acceptible, but sometimes he shouldn't be. Neither should Joe. They're EVIL.

I don't know if anyone can tell, but I have nothing to do. =D (I really like that smiley...)

P.S. 10 Points to whoever can answer that! Hehee

P.P.S. Timmy may not answer that question..
